Planyway now lets you see capacity at the team level, not just per person. Group the Workload timeline by team, and you get a higher-level view of how much each team can take on before you decide who does what.
With Team Capacity, you can:
- Group the Workload timeline by team and see each team's workload against its capacity
- Check whether a team has bandwidth for upcoming work
- Spot overloaded or underutilized teams early
- Size up initiatives at the team level before breaking them down into individual assignments
- Expand a team lane to see how its workload is distributed across members
Each team's capacity is rolled up from its members' working hours, holiday schemes, vacations, and days off — so the team number stays honest when someone is off or on a reduced schedule.
To set it up, create your teams under Teams in the left sidebar, add members, then group by team in the Workload tab.
Because the team lane expands in place, this gives you a more natural way to move from high-level capacity planning to individual work allocation without leaving the timeline.
